Sewer Line Repair & Replacement

We camera the line, show you the footage, and price the fix in writing, from a spot repair to a full replacement.

Serving Rockwall, Heath, Rowlett, Garland, and east DFW.

Straight answers on sewer line repair.

When the main line under your yard fails, the symptoms show up everywhere at once: fixtures drain slow together, toilets gurgle, and a sewer smell drifts into rooms you can't explain. In our neighborhoods the usual suspects are tree roots working into older clay and cast-iron lines, pipe bellies from shifting clay soil, and offset joints that a cable machine can punch through but can't fix.

This is the job where showing the problem matters most, because sewer work is where homeowners get taken advantage of. We camera the full run and show you the footage: where the roots are, where the belly is, how far the damage runs. Then we write the price for the honest options, whether that's a focused spot repair, a full replacement, or a trenchless method that spares the yard. The decision, and the price, are on the table before we dig.

Signs you need this

  • Several fixtures drain slow at the same time
  • Toilets gurgle when other water is running
  • Sewer odor inside the house or over the yard
  • Soggy patches or suspiciously green strips of lawn
  • Backups that return after every clear-out
  • Slab cracks or doors that suddenly stick

How CLEAR handles it

1

We show you the problem

A full camera run from the cleanout shows you every root, belly, and break, located by depth and distance so you know exactly what's under the yard.

2

You get the upfront price

Spot repair, full replacement, or trenchless where the line allows it, each priced in writing with our plain recommendation.

3

Clean work

We dig precisely, protect the areas we cross, and haul off the spoils. Backfill is done in compacted lifts so the ground settles the way it should.

4

We walk you through it

A final camera pass shows the finished line running clean, and you keep the footage. We also explain the maintenance schedule that keeps it that way.

Not sure which side of the table you're on?

We'll inspect your sewer line repair, lay out both options in writing, and you pick. No pressure, either way.

Winterization

Freeze season is when pipes burst. Winterization is how you skip it.

When water freezes inside a pipe, it expands, and the pressure between two ice plugs splits the pipe, often inside a wall, under a sink, or in the attic, where a burst runs until someone finds the shutoff. A single burst pipe can do thousands of dollars in water damage in an afternoon. The fix is cheap and routine: insulate the exposed lines, protect the hose bibs, and disconnect every garden hose so the faucet can fully drain.

That is exactly why winterization is included in the CLEAR Care Plan. Members get it before the first freeze every year, right alongside the annual whole-home inspection and water heater flush, at no extra cost. Non-members can book it as a one-time visit.

What your winterization visit covers

  • Insulating exposed pipes in the attic, garage, and along exterior walls
  • Protecting every outdoor hose bib with insulated covers
  • Disconnecting hoses and confirming each faucet drains properly
  • Checking vulnerable runs in older homes and new builds alike
  • Walking you through your main shutoff, so a surprise never turns into a mess

Questions about sewer line repair

How do you know it's the line and not just a clog?+

The pattern. A clog lives in one fixture; a failing main shows up everywhere, with gurgling and repeat backups. A camera run settles it in minutes, and we show you the footage either way.

Can you fix it without digging up my whole yard?+

Often, yes. Where the pipe still holds its line, spot repairs or pipe-bursting limit the digging to a couple of access points. Where the line is collapsed or bellied through, trenching the run is the honest answer.

What does sewer line repair cost?+

It depends on depth, length, material, and how much of the line is involved, which is why we don't guess over the phone. You get every option in writing after we camera the line.

How long does the work take?+

A spot repair is often done in a day. A full replacement typically runs two to four days depending on length, depth, and city inspection requirements.

Will my yard be a mess afterward?+

We backfill, compact, rough-grade, and haul off debris as part of the upfront price, and we flag anything that will settle over time so there are no surprises.

Common plumbing questions

How long should a water heater last?

Most tank heaters serve 8 to 12 years in North Texas. Annual flushes stretch that; sediment and hard water cut it short. If yours is past 10, we'll tell you whether repair still makes sense.

Why is my water pressure low?

Usually a failing pressure regulator, a partially closed valve, or mineral buildup in older lines. We find the cause on the first visit and give you the price before touching anything.

Where is my main water shutoff?

Typically on the line entering your home near the water heater or along a front exterior wall. Every adult in the house should know it. We'll point it out on any service visit, free.

Is a running toilet really costing me money?

Yes. A flapper that doesn't seal can quietly waste hundreds of gallons a day. It's a quick, inexpensive repair that usually pays for itself in the first month's water bill.

What actually counts as a plumbing emergency?

Water you can't shut off, sewage backing up into the home, or a suspected gas leak. Those, call immediately. Everything else can usually wait for a scheduled visit with an upfront price.

Does hard water damage plumbing?

Over years, yes. Scale narrows pipes, wears out valves, and shortens heater life. A whole-home approach or regular flushes manages it; we'll show you what your levels look like.
